Facility Manager Role and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and supervise a team responsible for maintaining and operating the facility.
Provide direction, guidance, and support to ensure effective teamwork.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to strategic planning by aligning facility management with organizational goals.
Provide input on facility needs, resource allocation, and long-term investment priorities.
Operational Oversight:
Ensure day-to-day operations of the facility, including maintenance, repairs, security, and environmental management.
Optimize facility functionality to support organizational activities and objectives.
Resource Management:
Oversee resource allocation and utilization, including budgeting, procurement, and staffing.
Optimize performance while minimizing costs and waste.
Continuous Improvement:
Seek ways to enhance facility efficiency, sustainability, and functionality.
Implement new technologies, adopt best practices, and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with building occupants, tenants, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Address concerns, facilitate communication, and foster positive relationships.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks to safety, security, and functionality.
Implement preventive maintenance programs, ensure compliance with regulations, and develop contingency plans.
Facility Manager Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3 years of experience managing facilities of a similar size.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems. Familiarity with relevant regulations and codes.
Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and management skills to motivate teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts. Excellent communication in both Arabic and English.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactively identify and resolve issues. Address maintenance concerns, optimize operations, and mitigate risks.
Financial Management Skills: Budgeting, forecasting, and expense management related to facility operations.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and relationship-building with stakeholders.
Direct Report: Pool Maintenance Supervisor
Maintenance Schedule and Activities:
Provide regular updates on pool maintenance schedules, including cleaning, treatments, inspections, and repairs.
Report on inventory levels, procurement needs, and equipment functionality or availability concerns.
Staffing and Training:
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training. Report on staffing needs, performance issues, and training initiatives.
Customer Service and Feedback:
Address user questions, concerns, or feedback related to pool maintenance. Collaborate with the facility manager to ensure a positive user experience.
Emergencies and Incident Reporting:
Promptly report emergencies, accidents, or incidents. Coordinate responses, document incidents, and implement corrective measures.
