Senior Technician

Key Accountabilities:

1. Maintenance:

   • Activities:

     • Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and market freezers according to scheduled maintenance plans.

     • Monitor and improve the planned maintenance system to ensure adherence to schedules.

     • Ensure vehicles and freezers operate efficiently and meet quality standards.

     • Complete reactive and preventive maintenance tasks on time to minimize breakdowns.

     • Propose continuous improvement ideas to reduce vehicle part costs.

     • Participate in section reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives under the SADAFCO Operating System (SOS).

2. Health & Safety:

   • Activities:

     • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, identifying potential risks and ensuring corrective actions are taken.

     • Demonstrate and promote safe behaviors among engineering staff and contractors.

     • Ensure all work complies with statutory and safety requirements.

     • Foster a safety-conscious culture to reduce accidents and near misses.

3. Reporting:

   • Activities:

     • Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, documenting any abnormalities during operations with vehicles.

     • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to track maintenance activities and identify areas for improvement.

Skills and Competencies:

• Educational Level: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance roles.

• Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of preventative maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.

  • Ability to analyze routes and propose practical solutions for maintenance optimization.

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
