Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Quality and Food Safety Implementation:
Implement the Quality and Food Safety Policy.
Assume all responsibilities assigned in the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
Inspection and Analysis:
Conduct inspections and analysis on raw materials, packaging materials, processing, and finished products quality versus specifications.
Prepare related reports as per the inspection plan.
Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor adherence to Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and hygiene requirements.
Behavioral Safety Observations:
Conduct behavioral safety observations as assigned by the plant Quality and Food Safety Manager.
Online Testing:
Conduct online testing of quality parameters as per the testing program requirements.
Deviation Management:
Note any deviations, communicate to stakeholders, and ensure proper corrective actions are taken immediately.
Manage the hold and release of any nonconforming products according to the Hold and Release procedure.
Incident Analysis:
Perform root cause and trend analysis of Quality and Food Safety incidents.
Action Verification:
Verify and validate undertaken actions to ensure their effectiveness in delivering required improvements.
Training Support:
Support the Quality and Food Safety training program as assigned by the plant Quality and Food Safety Manager.
Sanitation and Pest Control Verification:
Conduct sanitation and pest control verification as per procedure requirements.
Advisory Role:
Provide Quality and Food Safety advice, guidance, and coaching to the plant team.
Identify common competency gaps to be addressed in relevant training programs.
Continuous Improvement:
Support the development and continuous improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System through active participation.
Positive Behavior Recognition:
Recognize and embrace positive behaviors and practices.
Equipment Calibration:
Ensure calibrations of all Quality and Food Safety control equipment (metal detectors, primary and secondary weighers and check weighers, X-rays, seal checkers, balances, etc.).
Other Responsibilities:
Perform any other actions or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that supports the job's main purpose.
Skills:
Educational Level:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Specific Education:
Food Safety Management related certificate (ISO 22000, BRC, IFS, or similar).
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in food factories, preferably dairy.
Communication and Presentation:
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to engage with and influence the behaviors of others internally and externally without direct reporting relationship.
Problem Solving and Analytical Thinking:
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, setting action plans, etc.).
Languages:
Proficiency in English.
Knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
Additional Information:
The role requires physical capability to perform inspections and calibration tasks.
Flexibility to work in varying conditions and shifts if required.
