Job Description
Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare is seeking a qualified Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our team. This position provides specialized services for the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases.
Responsibilities:
Manage patients with various heart and vascular conditions, including:
Unstable angina and acute coronary syndromes
Congestive heart failure
Valvular disease
Basic arrhythmias
Interpret diagnostic tests:
EKGs
Transthoracic echocardiography (echo) Doppler studies
Holter monitors
Stress tests (exercise and pharmacological)
May request privileges for specialized procedures:
Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
Stress echocardiography
Contrast echo
Perform and interpret TEE and stress echo studies.
Provide expert guidance to junior staff on stress testing.
Participate in clinical activities, education, quality assurance, and peer review.
Work Schedule:
Hours assigned to meet operational needs.
Supervision:
Reports to the Head of Cardiology Services Division.
Collaboration:
Daily interaction with patients, families, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with emergency room physicians, internists, subspecialists, and general practitioners.
Key Duties:
Perform all duties of a cardiologist within the scope of approved privileges.
Conduct outpatient evaluations (30-40% of time).
Provide care to inpatients in specialized units and on general wards (25% of time).
Perform non-invasive procedures:
Supervise/interpret stress tests
Myocardial perfusion imaging (Myoview/thallium scans)
EKG interpretation
Holter monitor interpretation
Routine echo Doppler studies
Provide consultations (5-10% of time).
Participate in the on-call rotation (approximately one week in seven).
Attend and contribute to departmental meetings, conferences, and educational activities.
Prepare medical reports promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
M.D. degree with successful completion of a Cardiology fellowship (minimum 2 years of practice).
Expertise in non-invasive cardiology, particularly echocardiography (TEE and stress echo) and/or nuclear cardiology (proven by current privileges).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and multicultural setting.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
