Planning Engineer (Temporary - months)

Your new role, what's involved?

• Coordinating with the Client and Contractors regarding planning and progress issues.

• Establish and maintain a full working knowledge of the project or specified area scope of work.

• Tracking & Monitoring the Project Progress, Cost & Resources.

• Check Contractors Execution Program and Ensure all required data and information has been submitted as per the Client's requirements.

• Check contractors program updates.

• Check contractors weekly and monthly reports for authenticity and ensure all information submitted as per the Client's requirements.

• Foresee possible delays on site and advise contractor and other parties to mitigate the same.

• Ensure programs are structured, followed on site and check variances.

• Document all the variations and check their impact on project progress.

• Foresee possible claims from contractors and prepare evidences to defend the same.

• Operate progress measurement using earned value management system and reporting systems to identify actual progress versus the plan.

• Perform analysis on claims submitted by contractors. and provide recommendations to the Client.

• Maintain Risk Register, logs of delays, variations, submittals, inspection records and other necessary information.

• Prepare and submit consultant weekly and monthly reports to the Client.

• Qualification requirement for this position shall be minimum as follows;

• Should have bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

• Should have minimum 8 years’ experience in planning position.

• Should be proficient with primavera P3 and P6 software.

• Should be able to read and understand contract conditions and their consequence on project parameters.

• Should have experience in preparing and analyzing delay analysis using latest tools and techniques.

• Should be proficient in using word, excel, power point and other reporting tools.

• Should have good communication skills.

• Experience of working on similar projects will be an added advantage.
