ASC - Disability Inclusion Professional

Responsibilities:

• Identify barriers, provide advice and support to DIP management and stakeholders in respect to at least one of the above domains

• Raising awareness, improving understanding and knowledge about Disability Inclusion Program to improve access, and create a welcoming environment for people with Disabilities in the company.

• Develop educational resources company employees to grow their understanding and knowledge around Disability Inclusion Program, through online and face to face opportunities.

• Produce reports on Disability Inclusion Program, using national and international insights as well as learnings from other organizations’ programs to provide D&I/DIP management with relevant and useful updates on progress being made against targets and objectives.

• Other tasks deemed necessary as requested from D&I/DIP management

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Special Education, Occupational Therapy, IT or Engineering or any relevant field.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in disability inclusion related fields.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Decision making and project management skills.

Accessibility Certification in any of the following domains:

• Accessibility in the Built Environment.

• Accessibility in the Digital Environment.

• Accessibility in the Learning and Development Environment

• Accessibility in HR and recruitment.

Examples of accessibility certifications:

• Certified Accessibility in Core Competency.

• Certified Accessibility Professional in Built Environment.

• Certified Disability Case Management.

• Web Accessibility Specialist.

• User Experience Professional Association, Certified professional in Accessibility.

• ICT Accessibility Testing Proficiency Certification.
