Job Description

Job duties include but are not limited to:  

  • Creating and maintaining financial planning and budgeting applications using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Applications Suite (EPM).
  • Managing the Business Rules and Calculation Scripts that govern how data is calculated, aggregated, and presented within the Planning Applications.
  • Providing support for various planning applications, including Opex, capital expenditure planning, workforce planning and any custom applications built on Hyperion Planning.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of Hyperion Planning applications, including tasks like metadata maintenance, Essbase database management (backup and recovery), and performance tuning.
  • Overseeing the integration platform, which may include Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Financial Data Quality Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE) for data integration. Managing data loads is also part of this responsibility.
  • Able to Develop new functionality in Test environment and validation prior to migration in live (Production) environment.
  • Review the business requirements and map it in business systems through setups and configurations. Provide Systems analysis, support and problem resolution for business systems in collaboration with service providers
  • Review the documentation of User guides for business systems, standards operating procedures, minute the meeting with end users and service providers
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key constituents to ensure adherence to IT Security policies and processes. Maintaining security rules and access controls for Hyperion Planning applications to safeguard sensitive financial data.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate, discuss and negotiate with all levels of technical and professional staff, senior IT management, the company leadership, and all sectors of the user community
  • Works in a virtual team environment across global time zones


Required Qualification:   

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/ bachelor’s in engineering with or higher. Certification in EPM is preferred (Smart View, Financial Reporting, Cloud migration, Hyperion, FDMEE, Essbase)
  • Work Experience: 4 to 5 years’ experience in Core Planning Applications at Technical Level.


Required Professional Skills. 

  • Knowledge on basic SQL will be an advantage
  • Maintenance of Data entry Forms, business rules, Calculation scripts, Groovy Scripts, Application support, Financial, CAPEX and workforce planning. Working Knowledge of Financial Reporting (FR)
  • Knowledge on operation of Smart view in Excel, ability to use Adhoc grids to troubleshoot data related issues and Operations support for Oracle Hyperion, Planning and Budgeting applications
  • Knowledge in Metadata maintenance
  • Analytical Skills to validate data in Smartview and troubleshoot.
  • Knowledge in Essbase database & backup recovery and Migration between environments.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator and FDMEE.
  • Smart view installation on End User desktops and other issues related to browser usage of EPM.
  • Operations support for Oracle Hyperion, Planning and Budgeting applications
  • Periodical data upload to Essbase
  • Working on Cloud EPM is an advantage.
