Growth Lead (Content-Led) — Full-Time or Fractional
Location: Remote (UK market experience required)
Commitment: Fractional (1–2 days/week) or Full-time
Stage: Early traction, lean team, growing ~5× YoY
The opportunity
At Riwaya, we’re building a values-led B2C Islamic marketplace serving UK consumers. Trust-first, clarity-driven growth matters more to us than hype.
We have early traction, a small execution team, and a clear product. We currently have ~1,000 sellers onboarded and are growing quickly. What we need now is focused growth leadership — someone who can decide what matters, create momentum, and help take us from hundreds of thousands in sales to millions as we scale the marketplace.
The role
This is a hands-on, content-led growth role.
You will not just advise — you will do.
You will:
- set growth priorities (what to do, what to ignore)
- shape messaging and positioning
- create content yourself
- run focused experiments
- run and iterate on paid ad campaigns
- improve conversion and retention before scaling traffic
We care more about judgment, experimentation, and execution than polish.
What you’ll actually do
- Decide which growth levers to focus on — and which to deprioritise
- Create and iterate on core messaging and positioning
- Personally create content, including:
- social posts (including simple reels and carousels)
- copy for emails, ads, and landing pages
- social posts (including simple reels and carousels)
- Own email marketing and customer lifecycle communication
- Improve conversion across the funnel (site, messaging, flows)
- Use paid ads creatively (retargeting, demand capture, testing)
- Design simple systems that others can execute
- Work closely with the founder with real decision authority
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience marketing to UK consumers
- Excellent writing and messaging skills
- Commercially minded (you care about revenue, not vanity metrics)
- Calm, pragmatic, fail-fast mindset
- Comfortable operating with limited resources
- Respectful of values-led / faith-based audiences
Engagement options
We’re open to two paths, depending on fit:
Fractional
- 1–2 days per week
- Initial 3-month engagement (extendable)
Full-time
- Competitive salary
