Job Description
The Sales Engineer (Oil & Gas) plays a pivotal role in generating business and ensuring sales targets are met within the oil and gas sector. With a strong background in engineering and sales, the ideal candidate will leverage their experience and relationships to drive sales, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with clients, site engineers, buyers, and owners through regular personal visits and leveraging market experience.
Business Development: Develop business opportunities by introducing new international manufacturer products to local clients and attending trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings.
Supplier Relationship Management: Make regular visits to international and local suppliers/principals to discuss ongoing business, review offers, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery.
Sales Coordination: Guide Sales Coordinators in preparing quotations for clients, issuing purchase orders to suppliers/principals, and arranging deliveries to clients.
Commercial Approval: Consult with the Commercial Manager to gain approval for selected deals and ensure reasonable offers are presented to clients.
Payment Collection: Responsible for collecting outstanding payments from clients in a timely manner.
Market Analysis: Brief the Commercial Manager about market position, issues faced, and seek advice for resolution.
Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other jobs or responsibilities assigned by the Commercial Manager and provide necessary information as required.
Skills Required:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Experience: 4-6 years of experience in the oil & gas field with a strong sales background.
Sales Skills: Strong sales skills with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
Team Building: Ability to build and lead a sales team effectively.
Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation and creativity skills to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
Supplier Management: Experience in dealing with international suppliers and maintaining professional knowledge through educational workshops.
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in technical aspects related to the oil & gas industry.
