Lifeguard - Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Amwaj Islands

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Guest Safety: Maintain a watchful eye on the pool area to prevent accidents and ensure guest well-being. Enforce pool rules and regulations to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

• Lifeguarding Pro: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and perform water rescues when necessary.

• Pool Maintenance Master: Maintain the cleanliness and proper chemical balance of the pool, whirlpool, and sauna (if applicable), adhering to all state and local regulations.

• Exercise Room Equipment Expert: Ensure the safety and functionality of exercise equipment through regular inspections.

• Cleanliness Champion: Keep the pool area, restrooms, locker rooms, and furniture clean and well-stocked with supplies.

• Linen Logistics: Assist with processing pool towels to maintain a sufficient supply for guests.

• Whirlpool Wizard (if applicable): Oversee the maintenance, housekeeping, and upkeep of the spa/whirlpool area.

• Observant Eye: Regularly sweep the pool area, empty trash containers, and maintain a tidy environment.

• Reporting All-Star: Complete daily reports, logs, and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in hospitality or a related field preferred.

• Valid Red Cross or equivalent Water/Life Safety course certification.

• Valid Red Cross or equivalent First Aid course certification.

• Completion of an accredited CPR course.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a lifeguard.

• Must meet all state and local lifeguard certification requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.

• Proficient in various water lifesaving techniques.

• Excellent swimming skills.
