The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented Finance Professional to play a key role in supporting NMES's financial operations. You'll assist the Executive Director of Finance and Finance Manager in providing insightful financial analysis and ensuring accurate reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Financial Accounting & Analysis:

    • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including data compilation, consolidation, and analysis, adhering to internal regulations and external standards.

    • Process and verify accounts payable transactions (invoices, check requests) to guarantee timely and accurate payments.

    • Analyze financial data to assess business performance, identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability of projects, and monitor the value of long-term contracts.

    • Prepare monthly unaudited financial reports (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) with variance analysis.

    • Close all SAP modules (inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger) by month-end.

    • Conduct and execute monthly closing activities in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.

    • Prepare and review reconciliations of all relevant ledger accounts to ensure accurate transaction recording and reflection of the company's financial health.

  • Strategic Initiatives & Support:

    • Analyze various strategic finance initiatives and see them through to implementation for successful achievement of objectives.

    • Provide support to the Corporate Finance team as needed, assisting with responses to bank requests for information and data related to financing approvals.

  • Communication & Collaboration:

    • Liaise with line managers, departments, banks, and vendors to address queries, clarifications, and issues related to financial processes.

    • Assist auditors during audits by providing necessary information, justifying discrepancies, and implementing their recommendations for timely audit completion.

  • Professional Development:

    • Stay up-to-date on market trends and developments in the finance sector.

    • Actively seek knowledge transfer from experienced team members to gain technical expertise in finance.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong business and financial analysis skills.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.

  • Experience or knowledge of the infrastructure/energy/renewables sector (a plus).

  • Basic understanding of the business value chain.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Understanding of capital and financial markets (a plus).

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team setting.

  • Professional demeanor for interacting with colleagues and vendors.
