Equipment Manager - Media

Role Purpose:

NEOM Media is expanding its already well-established filming equipment fleet which currently ranges from heavy equipment, generators etc through to specialist areas including underwater and aerial.
As a result we are looking to recruit an ambitious, energetic and knowledgeable Manager develop, co-ordinate and manage the day-to-day workflow of our hiring process, whilst providing a support function to the strategic expansion of this revenue stream into the regional media industry.

Key Accountabilities:

Relevant experience within the film and/or TV industry, ideally directly aligned with technology and equipment is a necessity.
Proven team development and leadership experience will be a distinct advantage.
A genuine desire and ambition towards management and responsibility for film and/or unit equipment such as cameras, lighting, grips, IT and heavy equipment is advantageous.
The role will cover duties including, but not limited to :Direct Management :

• Developing the client and supply chain networks

• Facilitating hire enquiries, managing and/or supervising the hire process, from quote to return

• Equipment inventory, data basing, hire tracking and associated software/s

• Capitalization, asset tracking and annual insurance

• Procurement, deliveries and cataloguing of new equipment

• Logistics and tracking for off-site inspection/repair/replacement

• Warehouse operations, day-to-day

Supervisory Support :

• Equipment preparation, issue, return and check

• Equipment maintenance and cleaning

• Equipment updating, testing and calibration

• Equipment prepping, including battery charging/cycling

• Ware houe storage, space allocation, cleanliness, to enable efficient, functional rental operations

• Mentor full-time and temporary staff, directing and supporting day-to-day operations

• Liaise with both internal and external production clients in preparing for equipment loans

• Work with internal departments and stakeholders eg facilities management, security, logistics

• Develop working relationships with suppliers and/or freelance crew

Key Skills:

• Working knowledge of media production equipment and technology

• Intimate understanding of equipment hire processes and operations

• Appreciation of the nuances, delicacies, and fragility of different equipment types

• Basic understanding of set and/or location workflows and dynamics

• Tech savvy, innovation-focussed

• Keen to learn at deep levels of technicality and operations

• Good and confident communication skills

• Able to lift and move large, bulky and occasionally heavy items

Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant field of study, Hons preferable

• Industry-specific certifications or licenses, proof of ongoing training

• 5+ years hands-on experience within the regional film or TV industry

• Able to legally drive in KSA

• Computer & IT literate, both PC and Mac
