Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting Oversight: Supervise the preparation and review of comprehensive and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Monthly Close Expertise: Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP and local statutory accounting principles.

• Local Statutory Reporting: Champion the preparation of local statutory accounts and support the annual external audit process.

• Process Improvement Champion: Spearhead initiatives to optimize business processes and implement positive financial change within the organization.

• Internal Controls & Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other financial regulations.

• Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to your assigned accounting teams within the business units.

• Tax Compliance Support: Assist with direct and indirect tax compliance activities and filings.

• Additional Projects: Contribute to special projects as assigned by management.

The Ideal Candidate

• Professional Qualifications: Hold a recognized Tier 1 professional accounting designation (Chartered Accountant, ACCA, or US CPA).

• Experience & Leadership: Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.

• Technology Savvy: Proficient in Oracle accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI). Experience with other relevant financial systems a plus.

• Industry Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working in an international/multinational organization and the oil and gas industry is preferred.

• Leadership Skills: Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
