Senior Data Scientist

They are at a pivotal stage in their growth and are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join their team. In this role, you'll play a key role in developing Mozn's institutional analytics knowledge and tackling critical challenges across various industries.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Scientist at Mozn, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage the power of data and solve complex problems. You'll be responsible for the following:

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with engineers, product managers, business analysts, and marketing specialists to deliver data-driven solutions.

  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and findings to a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.

• Advanced Data Analysis & Insights:

  • Analyze and extract valuable insights from large and complex datasets using techniques like regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and machine learning.

  • Develop and implement new machine learning models to ensure Mozn's solutions leverage the latest advancements in the field.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Develop data pipelines and ingestion engines for Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and risk management, potentially contributing to existing engines as well.

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science frameworks and technologies to improve Mozn's efficiency and productivity.

• Project & Team Leadership:

  • Partner with internal teams to establish and execute data science solution development strategies.

  • Oversee a significant technical area, define project priorities, and design technical solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field (3+ years for B.S., 2+ years for M.S.).

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a related field requiring development of machine learning/AI models.

• 2+ years of programming experience in software development, including object-oriented programming and data manipulation using Python or similar languages.

• Strong understanding of statistics and probability concepts (e.g., Hidden Markov Models, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Bayesian inference).

• Applied experience in machine learning, including model diagnosis and loss function modification.

• Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.

• Expertise in Natural Language Understanding and/or Probabilistic Machine Learning applications.
