We are now looking for our first Product Manager who will be responsible for the product strategy, feature prioritisation, and product development of the Guider mobile app. This person will work closely with Shinaz and Ahmed to drive the development of the product that we hope will benefit millions of Muslims, God-willing.

This is a full-time role that can be based anywhere in the world

This is a full-time paid role (+ equity). As Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, design and development of the mobile app. This includes defining the product roadmap, engaging closely with users, and working directly with a world-class engineering team to rapidly ship and iterate new features. As the first Product hire at Guider, you will have end-to-end ownership of the product development process.

We launched the app in Ramadan this year, and have scaled to >16,000 downloads with an average rating of 4.7/5. The app is currently based on written and audio content, and over time, we will be expanding the content library with new topics, as well as adding new features including deeper personalisation, enhanced gamification and community. You can try out the app on Apple and Android.

Responsibilities

As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Working closely with the CEO and CTO to define the product strategy and roadmap based on the Guider vision, deep user research, and learnings from world-class apps
• Translating product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping, testing and development by the engineering team
• Setting up and delivering product experiments through our fortnightly sprints to rapidly iterate based on user feedback and Mixpanel analytics
• Collaborating closely with engineering, growth, and content teams to drive the development of a category-defining product
• Developing product positioning and messaging that differentiates Guider for our target audience

Requirements

• 3+ years of product experience
• Confident and proactive using data to make key decisions
• Strong prowess in experiment ideation, prioritisation and roadmap planning
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
• Strong learning agility and openness to feedback
• Bonus: Understanding of our audience and their specific needs
