Researcher Fellow (CoE#100624)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops new methodologies and technologies to improve system performance and interaction.

• Prepares complete documentation of research activities for reference purposes, including applicable data management protocols.

• Conducts research in and develops novel technologies in the context of assigned research area.

• Evaluates existing research or modeling techniques and recommend improvements to ensure quality and productivity.

• Compares actual and expected results and suggests solutions to correct the deviations.

• Evaluates existing research or modeling techniques and recommend improvements to ensure quality and productivity.

• Assists in the preparation of proposals and reports and Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of researchers.

• Conducts in-depth research on topic including analyzing and modeling technologies, conducting cost-benefit analysis of technologies.

• Publishes findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.

• Participates in collaborative discussions and contributes to the intellectual environment of the research group.

• Fabricates and characterize designed materials, devices, and systems to experimentally verify theoretical predictions.

• Organizes, analyzes, and presents data from research, on weekly basis.

• Pursues independent (but complementary) research interests and interacts with a broad spectrum of scientists internally and externally.

• Disseminates research results in peer-reviewed scientific or technical journals and presents results at external conferences seminars and/or technical meetings.

• Provides training to staff, graduate assistants, or student employees.

• Maintains safe and well-organized lab and preparation area.

• Supervises students as they conduct experiments during research courses and assists students with completion of laboratory assignments

• Maintains an equipment maintenance and chemical inventory and assists with procuring laboratory supplies.

• Performs regular safety inspections of equipment and laboratories to ensure maintenance on laboratory equipment.

• Performs all other duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner.

• Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by manager.

Education & Experience

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, Architectural Robotics, Design or related field from an accredited institute.

• Minimum of two years' experience in research or related fields with two to three journal articles published.
