Deputy Headteacher

As a part-time Deputy Teacher, you will play an integral role in supporting the academic and administrative functions of the school, contributing to the delivery of top-tier education to our students. You’ll assist in shaping our educational vision, nurturing a positive learning atmosphere, and offering guidance to our team of educators.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

• Minimum 3+ years of educational leadership experience, ideally in school management.

• Expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and education assessment.

• Strong organizational abilities and ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity.

• Proficiency in educational technology tools and learning management systems.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school.

• Collaborate with the Head Teacher to develop and implement school policies and procedures.

• Ensure smooth functioning of administrative tasks and adherence to school regulations.

• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.

• Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings and other relevant events to foster positive relationships.

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to teachers to enhance their teaching practices and professional development.

• Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to teachers to improve classroom effectiveness.

• Assess and monitor the performance of teachers and students to ensure academic excellence.

• Implement strategies to address areas of improvement and recognize exceptional performance.

• Engage actively in all aspects of school life, including extracurricular activities, events, and committees.

• Take a lead role in organizing and coordinating school events, ensuring their successful execution.

• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to design and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.

• Ensure alignment of curriculum with educational standards and requirements.

• Support the Head Teacher in maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment for students.

• Address student behavioral issues and implement disciplinary measures as necessary, in accordance with school policies.

• Assist in planning school-related activities and events, ensuring smooth execution

• Stay updated on educational trends, best practices, and relevant regulations through continuous learning and professional development activities.
