Lead Fundraising Officer

About the Role

Al Furqan Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Fundraising Officer to lead our fundraising and income generation activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the future growth of one of Leicester's growing community charities. You will be responsible for developing fundraising campaigns, securing grant funding, building relationships with donors and partner organisations, and representing the Centre across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver fundraising campaigns.
• Research and submit grant funding applications.
• Build relationships with donors, businesses and community organisations.
• Deliver fundraising presentations and appeals at mosques and events.
• Coordinate internal fundraising initiatives.
• Maximise Gift Aid income.
• Work alongside the media team to promote fundraising campaigns.
• Maintain accurate donor records and fundraising administration.
• Ensure fundraising activities comply with Charity Commission guidance and GDPR.

Essential Requirements

• Proven fundraising experience.
• Experience writing successful grant applications.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
• Strong written English.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Desirable

• Charity sector experience.
• Experience using CRM or donor management systems.
• Knowledge of Gift Aid.
