What we're looking for
At Tarteel, we’re helping 8M+ Muslims engage with their faith more intimately and build a stronger relationship with the Quran. The Quran is a lifelong journey, and as motivation fluctuates having a supportive community is crucial. We also continue to build many sophisticated tools for engaging with the Quran which both new and existing users need help with understanding and adopting.
In this role, you will be the face of the company, interacting daily with our users, producing content that helps them better understand and use Tarteel, answering their questions, and triaging bugs and feature requests.
You’ll be communicating constantly with team members when new issues or complaints arise, providing regular updates about common trends and feedback from customers. You’ll also help create and maintain public tutorials and FAQ pages to keep users informed about common workflows and issues in both English and Arabic. You should be comfortable recording yourself in a prepared environment and having it appear publicly.
As a remote role, communication is key, so you must demonstrate strong writing skills in both English and Arabic to convey information clearly between the Tarteel team and customers.
As a technical company, you should have a basic understanding on how to use mobile applications and collecting associated metadata such as device information and model to help our team triage customer requests.
The role is full time (40 hrs/week). Part of this role’s responsibilities is traditionally considered “customer support”, and we expect that part will take around 15-25% of your time each week.
Responsibilities
Produce written and video tutorials guiding users on how they can best make use of Tarteel.
Host webinars walking users through the app and all of its functionality.
Respond to and engage customers on social media, including Instagram, Discord, Twitter, and Facebook.
Respond to customer queries and feedback in a professional and timely manner using our internal customer support tools. We strive to maintain a 24 hour SLA.
Create and update FAQ pages when common questions come up.
Compile reports about common issues and requests to share with the Tarteel team.
Write internal documents related to processes and learnings when engaging customers.
Triage user feedback and bug reports, understanding escalation processes when necessary.
Automate tasks and responses using tools such as Zapier and Zendesk Bots.
Qualifications
Can speak and type in both English and Arabic fluently: We aim to have full support for both of these languages across our platform and services.
Strong communication skills: This is essential to effectively interact with customers on social media platforms, provide excellent customer service, and resolve issues.
Strong problem-solving skills: This job requires the ability to identify problems, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to customers' issues.
Strong analytical skills: You must be able to identify trends in viral content and user feedback and then understand how to leverage that information to better engage and support our users.
Strong time management skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines is important.
Strong attention to detail: This job requires accuracy in responding to customers' inquiries and monitoring social media platforms for brand mentions and feedback.
Social media expertise: Knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, and trends will allow you to monitor all of our social media accounts holistically and engage with tags, shares, retweets, etc.
Adaptability and flexibility: The ability to adjust to changing circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
Empathy: This skill allows you to understand and connect with customers, leading to better customer satisfaction and retention.
Technical skills: Familiarity with Zendesk, social media management tools, and other relevant software and tools is necessary.
Other languages are a plus, specifically:
French
Malay or Indonesian
Past experience with the Muslim market is a plus but not required.
