**JOB TITLE: **Youth Director

**RESPONSIBLE TO: **Masjid DarusSalam Director of Operation

**POSITION TYPE:** Full-time

**COMPENSATION: **Commensurate with experience

**DAYS&HOURS:** 6 days a week, including weekends and evenings

## **NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:**

Masjid Darussalam is looking for an energetic individual to serve the growing Muslim

youth community in our area! The Youth Director will develop, promote and maintain a

DS Youth Program for late elementary, middle school, high school, and early college

years. He/she will lead and execute on an exciting vision to deliver a vastly impactful

youth engagement strategy.

## **QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:**

- Raised in the United States
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent Islamic education
- Experience with community organizing or community development

## **BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

The job description and responsibilities of the Youth Director include, but are not limited

to the following:

- Conceiving. planning, managing, and implementing creative programs for the community's youth
- Solicit community members for successful implementation of the programs.
- Coordinate weekly halaqas
- Coordinate activities such as tournaments / youth nights
- Establish & Maintain a connection with local MSAs, Colleges and High-schools.
- Establish a friendly rapport with the center's youth through engaging and purposeful activities
