### **Position Overview**

The Youth Director & Associate Imam will work in close collaboration with Imam to establish and nurture a strong learning environment within the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City (ISGOC).

**Core Responsibilities**

**A. Sermons & Programs**

- Share responsibility with the Imam for delivering Friday khutbahs (including Eid khutbahs, as scheduled in advance).
- Prepare a monthly khutbah schedule and coordinate guest speakers (local and out-of-state).
- Lead daily prayers, Janazah services, and conduct marriages.
- Maintain a five-day work schedule with set office hours, including regular attendance at Fajr prayer. (minimum 4 hours per day, 5 days per week)
- Have personal insured reliable transportation.

**B. Educational & Youth Programs**

- Organize Monthly Family Nights (once per month on Fridays), including arranging guest speakers and family-centered activities.
- Develop youth-focused programs in partnership with other local Youth Directors.
- Provide mentorship and deliver weekly halaqahs, spiritual talks, and leadership training for youth and young professionals.
- Conduct engaging halaqahs for brothers, sisters, young professionals and youth.

**C. Accessibility & Community Engagement**

- Hold weekly office hours not including SALAH time, for counseling, guidance, and community discussions.
- Coordinate with the Masjid office to manage schedules and appointments.
- Collaborate with the Secretary/ Executive committee president & team to promote programs through email, WhatsApp, and the community calendar.
- Record and share sermons and classes via ISGOC social media platforms.

**D. Special Programs**

- Ramadan: Plan and implement Ramadan activities in consultation with Imam.
- Eid: Coordinate Eid celebrations (including park or theme park events) with Imam.
- Hajj: Organize and facilitate Hajj workshops.
- Other responsibilities may be adjusted as mutually agreed upon.

**3. Employment Terms**

**A. Supervision**

- The position reports directly to the Imam and administration, with oversight and consultation from the Board of Directors.

**B. Term & Probation**

- Initial probation period: 90 days.
- Job confirmation after 180 days with Board approval.
- Contract length: 36 months.

**C. Compensation & Benefits**

- Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 (based on qualifications and experience).
- Paid leave: Two weeks (10 working days) vacation and three sick days per year.

**D. Background & References**

- Employment is contingent on passing a federal background check.
- Two references from previous employers are required.

**E. Termination**

- ISGOC reserves the right to terminate employment with or without causes may include unsatisfactory performance, misconduct, misrepresentation of qualifications, or criminal activity.
- Termination may occur with or without notice, as deemed necessary by ISGOC.
- Either party may terminate this contract with a 30-day written notice (via email or mail).

**F. Board Approval**

- All contracts are valid only upon approval of the ISGOC Board, confirmed by the signature of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, or Secretary.

**G. Miscellaneous**

- This document represents the duties and a sample agreement between the parties.
- Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties in future.
- The contract will be governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma.
